True (formerly Family Planning Queensland) is a state-wide, profit-for-purpose organisation and a leading provider of specialist sexual and reproductive healthcare.
Since being founded in 1972, True has been offering sexual health services through our clinics in metro, regional and rural areas, education across the state both in person and online, and through our sexual violence counselling services. True is here to support you.
In 2023 we supported 10,514 people in Queensland through our clinical services, and thousands more through education and community services both in person and online.

True delivers safe, inclusive, and evidence-informed sexual and reproductive health services, prioritising safety, upholding ethical standards, and adapting to changing needs. We ensure care, provide culturally and age-appropriate education programs, and believe everyone has the right to access health services and information to make informed choices.

Committed to providing comprehensive sexuality and relationship education, helping young people build healthy, safe and pleasant relationships. Our programs are mapped to the national curriculum and support skill development for students with a respectful and inclusive approach.

Christine is a senior commercial and financial manager with over 25 years of experience in strategy, complex problem-solving, and value creation across industries in both the private and public sectors.

Clare Maher
FRACGP, Dip O&G, MPH
Clare is a General Practitioner with over 25 years of experience as a clinician and educator. She currently works at the Inala Indigenous Health Service and at a specialist outreach Diabetes service.

Shannon Foley
B.Ed (Adult Education), M.Ed (Adult Ed), Dip HRM
Shannon is a senior Human Resources leader with a career spanning over two decades.
She has worked in Australia and internationally in sectors including disability, healthcare, aged care and community services, aviation and telecommunications.

Tamra Bridges
RN B.Nursing, M. Mental Health (Psychotherapy), GAICD, MBA (in progress)
Tamra is a clinically trained and registered nurse and psychotherapist. She has held strategic and operational executive roles in health, aged care, mental health and culturally safe service models and service design.

Chris Dougherty
Bachelor of Business (Human Resources & Accounting)

Chris is currently the Head of Government & NFP at OnTalent. He also serves as Chief of Staff of Epilepsy Australia Ltd, Secretary of the Western Pacific Regional Executive Committee of the International Bureau for Epilepsy and an external SME for the Governance and Remuneration Committee of Foodbank Queensland Ltd.

Jacqueline (Jacqui) Murdoch
Master of Public Health, FRACGP, FAFPHM

Jacquie has deep experience in Indigenous health and worked as a Medical Director of Family Planning NT. She is a GP and is currently working at the Institute for Urban Indigenous Health.

Timothy Smith
Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting), Bachelor of Laws (General Legal Practice), Masters of Laws (Taxation)
Tim brings over 18 years of experience as a chartered accountant, having honed his skills at a Big 4 firm and rapidly growing companies and multinationals in Australia and overseas. Tim's expertise extends beyond the numbers, encompassing operational and commercial acumen.

Melinda Wilson
Bachelor of Laws and GAICD, Bachelor of Information Technology, Certified Project Portfolio Executive
Melinda is an experienced IP/technology lawyer with a background in corporate and project governance. She is currently with MinterEllison and previously held positions with UQ working in the Office of the Vice Chancellor as well as other corporate divisions.

Donna brings 30 years of invaluable experience across hospitals, health services, and healthcare education and training. With a strong track record in senior executive roles across public, private and not-for-profit sectors, Donna has demonstrated exceptional leadership across people and culture, learning and development, and hospital and health services and is committed to creating positive social impact, and advocacy for equity, inclusion and equality.

Lisa Harrison
Director of Nursing and Health Services
Lisa Harrison is a highly skilled and experienced Reproductive and Sexual Health Nurse Practitioner with over 28 years' experience working as a clinician in Queensland.
Lisa is excited to lead True's clinical and counselling services to continue to provide quality patient-centred care to all people in Queensland.

Stuart Dempster
General Manager – Corporate Services
Stuart comes to True with a wealth of experience, having led financial operations, capital projects, IT transformations, and software projects in both non-government organisations and the private sector.
His previous roles include serving as the Executive Director- Business Enterprise at Uniting Church Australia, and CFO at AEIOU, Edge Learning and Open Minds.
