Female empowerment was front and center when True and The Female Co recently gathered in Cairns to celebrate their continued partnership.
True is proud to support The Female Co, a First Nations-led not-for-profit empowering young women and girls through sport, leadership and education in Far North Queensland (FNQ).
The Female Co Academy, which will welcome its 2026-27 intake of young athletes this month, combines athletic and personal development to create meaningful opportunities for its participants to thrive both on and off the field. True's contribution supports the Academy's broader goal of equipping participants with the knowledge and confidence to work towards their personal and professional goals.
A fundamental part of the partnership is the delivery of True’s education sessions focused on respectful relationships, reproductive health and wellbeing in a supportive and culturally appropriate environment.
These sessions support The Female Co participants to deepen their understanding of their broader health and wellbeing in support of lifelong health outcomes and athletic development.
Katy Wilson, True’s Regional Education Lead (North Queensland), spoke about the importance of the partnership with The Female Co.
"This partnership reflects True's ongoing commitment to supporting community-led initiatives that improve access and equity, promote respectful relationships and strengthen health literacy across Queensland.
“By working hand in hand with organisations such as The Female Co, True continues to contribute to programs that empower young people and build healthier, more connected communities,” Katy said.
