True was proud to participate in the 2026 Australasian HIV & AIDS and Sexual & Reproductive Health Conference, hosted by ASHM.
The conference brought together health professionals, researchers and educators from around Australia, New Zealand, Asia and the Pacific to share the latest evidence and best-practice approaches aimed at improving sexual and reproductive health outcomes. As a leading provider of sexual and reproductive health services and education in Queensland, True was pleased to contribute to discussions addressing health equity, access and culturally responsive care.
Several True team members featured in the conference program, showcasing work that supports diverse communities across Queensland. Levi Lou, Bilingual Health Educator, participated in a Pacific Australia Labour Mobility (PALM) panel discussion exploring strategies to improve access to sexual and reproductive health services for PALM workers. Jana Ventura, Culturally Responsive Health Lead, presented on the co-design of a health literacy framework that aims to support health professionals in meeting the sexual health needs of young people from migrant and refugee backgrounds in Queensland. The framework focuses on strengthening culturally responsive practice and improving access to health information.
The conference provided a valuable opportunity for True staff to learn from leading experts and strengthen partnerships with professionals working across the sexual and reproductive health sector. By participating in events that foster collaboration and innovation, True continues to support evidence-informed practice and improve sexual and reproductive health and wellbeing for all Queenslanders.
