Eligible health professionals across rural and regional Queensland are encouraged to apply for fully funded scholarships for AUSLARC training, delivered by True Relationships and Reproductive Health through an outreach model.
Designed to improve nation-wide access to long-acting reversible contraception (LARC) training, the Australian Long-Acting Reversible Contraception (AUSLARC) program is led by Sexual and Reproductive Health Australia (SRHA) in partnership with The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP).
Funded by the Australian Government, the outreach delivery model provides more accessible training to help build local capacity and improve access to contraceptive care for regional and remote populations.
The AUSLARC scholarship program covers the full registration fees for healthcare professionals to undergo Implanon and IUD training (theory, simulation and clinical placement). Travel reimbursements are also included for eligible participants travelling more than 100km to attend the training.
RACGP CPD is recorded for all RACGP members completing the program.
Health professionals from the same workplace or region are encouraged to participate and can apply as a cohort. Individual applications are required for each participant.
