We’re delighted to announce that Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeanette Young PSM, Governor of Queensland, is a Patron of True Relationships & Reproductive Health for the duration of her term in office.

Many Queenslanders will be familiar with Her Excellency thanks to her appointment as State Health Incident Controller in January 2020 when the COVID-19 outbreak was declared a pandemic. However, the Governor has long played a role in Queensland’s health. She first moved to Queensland in 1994 to become Director of Medical Services at the Rockhampton Hospital, taking up the role of Executive Director of Medical Services at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane in 1999, and has served on various workforce committees, including as Chair of AMWAC (Australian Medical Workforce Advisory Committee).

We couldn't be happier that Her Excellency will be using her role to advocate for our mission to improve access to quality reproductive and sexual health, facilitate healthy, positive and safe relationships, and prioritise the delivery of services to people in greater need.
