The Tertiary and Research unit is responsible for conducting and supervising research projects at True. These research areas encompass both education and clinical services. University partnerships are a vital component of this work.

One of the important programs to be developed at True in recent years is the Traffic Lights® Framework which is used by a wide variety of professionals including schools, early childhood education and care centres, health professionals, social workers, psychologists and may also be used by families.
