True Relationships and Reproductive Health is looking for Level 2 RACGP Accredited Medical Officers seeking special/extended skills postings at any of our 5 clinics across Queensland (part-time).

The key responsibilities of the Medical Officer – GP Registrar will be to:

  • Provide specialised medical care, in the area of Sexual and Reproductive Health in accordance with True Relationships and Reproductive Health Clinical Guidelines and Policies, with support and supervision from an experienced True Relationships and Reproductive Health Medical Officer.
  • Work collaboratively with the nursing staff to meet client needs, supporting the clinical guidelines, and providing medical leadership as required
  • Gain consolidated clinical skills and knowledge in Sexual and Reproductive Health including working as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Selection Criteria:

  • Registration with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (Medical Practitioner)
  • Currently at or beyond Level 2 RACGP Accreditation (Second year GP Registrar) and seeking a special/extended skills posting
  • FPAA Medical Practitioner Certificate or equivalent or willingness to obtain within designated timeframe (Including associated costs i.e. Course Fees, travel and accommodation costs)
  • Demonstrated interest and experience in the field of Sexual and Reproductive Health
  • Competence in insertion of contraceptive implants
  • Competence in insertion of intrauterine devices or willingness to obtain in designated time frame
  • Demonstrated interpersonal, oral and written communication skills including the ability to work with multi- disciplinary teams, consult, negotiate, problem-solve and resolve conflict
  • Awareness of key issues in supporting an effective and safe working environment including Employment equity, antidiscrimination, occupational health and safety and ethical behaviour
  • Evidence of immunity to Hepatitis B. Minimum requirement to commence employment will be the first vaccination having been undertaken and agreement to complete the vaccination course and provide evidence of immunity within 9 months
