Child Safety

At True we work close with children, parents, teachers and community workers to ensure the education and safety of children

We offer professional development which supports professionals to understand child safety in their professional setting, and develop skills to support healthy sexual development in children and young people while also addressing harmful sexual behaviours.

True provides education sessions that can include a parent/ carer and their young person. Sessions are bespoke to the requirements of the family. There may be a session for the parent/ carer followed by a family session. The make up of sessions can be negotiated to accommodate need and circumstance.

Topics can include:

  • Sexual development
  • Personal safety skills
  • Puberty
  • Healthy relationships
  • Sexual relationships
  • Consent
  • Digital media including porn

True educators work to support the development of protective factors that will assist the family to communicate and form healthy relationships.
