True's education team recently attended the Bright Futures Symposium, a two-day professional event held on the Sunshine Coast on August 7th and 8th.
About the symposium
Hosted by the Daniel Morcombe Foundation, this symposium brought together a community of researchers, educators, and professionals who work to support young people every day.
The event focused on contextual safeguarding – an approach that recognises how community environments impact child safety and wellbeing.
Key aspects of our participation
Our team contributed through:
- Engaging with presentations from experts in child safety and education
- Networking with fellow professionals from across Australia
Professional connections and collaboration
As practitioners working in this field, we valued the opportunity to connect with others implementing similar approaches. The symposium reinforced the importance of collaboration between researchers, educators, and community professionals in our ongoing work to keep children and young people safe.
Our ongoing commitment
True's participation reflects our continued commitment to the safeguarding work we do every day in our community.
We’re grateful to the Daniel Morcombe Foundation for creating this important space for practitioners to connect, collaborate, and strengthen the work we’re all doing to make a difference in the lives of children and young people.
