Board of Directors
True is managed by a voluntary Board of Directors, who oversee the strategic and financial direction of our organisation.

Christine Ip
BE(Chem)(Hons), MBus (Acc), GAICD
Christine is a senior commercial and financial manager with over 25 years of experience in strategy, complex problem-solving, and value creation across industries in both the private and public sectors.
She is currently a Director in the Client Division of Queensland Treasury Corporation, where she leads a team of finance and accounting professionals dedicated to securing the State’s financial success through business optimisation, infrastructure development, and financing. Christine is motivated to contribute to the for-purpose sector, with a strong focus on supporting and empowering other women.

Clare Maher
FRACGP, Dip O&G, MPH
Clare is a General Practitioner with over 25 years of experience as a clinician and educator.
She currently works at the Inala Indigenous Health Service and at a specialist outreach Diabetes service. Clare is fortunate to have worked with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people for over 15 years and has significant experience in refugee health. Her interests include medical education, evidence-based medicine, and women’s health. She has been involved with the teaching of medical students and GP registrars for many years.
Since 2016 Clare has been the RACGP Qld Domestic and Family Violence Champion General Practitioner. This involves promoting the role and responsibilities of GPs in the care of people who have experienced IPV.

Chris Dougherty
Bachelor of Business (Human Resources & Accounting)
Chris is currently the Head of Government & NFP at OnTalent. He also serves as Chief of Staff of Epilepsy Australia Ltd, Secretary of the Western Pacific Regional Executive Committee of the International Bureau for Epilepsy and an external SME for the Governance and Remuneration Committee of Foodbank Queensland Ltd.
Chris is an accomplished people leader with over 15 years’ experience in the health and human services sector in both for profit and profit-for-purpose models. The work of the True has both personal and professional interest to Chris and he is pleased to be able to contribute skills, knowledge and experience to the organisation at this juncture of history.

Shannon Foley
B. Ed (Adult Education), M. Ed (Adult Education), Dip HRM
Shannon is a senior Human Resources leader with a career spanning over two decades.
She has worked in Australia and internationally in sectors including disability, healthcare, aged care and community services, aviation and telecommunications. Shannon has extensive experience in employee relations, payroll, organisational capability and development, talent and succession management, safety and wellbeing, diversity and inclusion, change management and culture transformation. Shannon also has professional experience in leading ESG and Corporate Social Responsibility strategies and programs.

Tamra Bridges
RN B.Nursing, M. Mental Health (Psychotherapy), GAICD, MBA (in progress)
Tamra is a clinically trained and registered nurse and psychotherapist and has held executive health roles in both strategy and operations in areas of health, aged care, mental health, culturally safe service models and service design focused on regional and remote locations across Queensland and the Northern Territory.
Tamra has established and led a range of health and community services in a not-for-profit organisation across regional and remote Queensland including residential aged care, residential drug and alcohol treatment centres, residential family therapy facilities, childcare and school programs, community aged care, and state-wide assessment services.
Tamra is currently the Executive Director of SilverChain in Queensland and holds the national portfolio responsible for leadership of the Community Impact and Inclusion strategy.

Jacqueline (Jacqui) Murdoch
Master of Public Health, FRACGP, FAFPHM
Jacquie has deep experience in Indigenous health and worked as a Medical Director of Family Planning NT. She is a GP and is currently working at the Institute for Urban Indigenous Health.

Melinda Wilson
Bachelor of Laws and GAICD, Bachelor of Information Technology, Certified Project Portfolio Executive
Melinda is an experienced IP/technology lawyer with a background in corporate and project governance. She is currently with MinterEllison and previously held positions with UQ working in the Office of the Vice Chancellor as well as other corporate divisions.

Timothy Smith
Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting), Bachelor of Laws (General Legal Practice), Masters of Laws (Taxation)
Tim brings over 18 years of experience as a chartered accountant, having honed his skills at a Big 4 firm and across rapidly growing companies, listed entities, and multinationals in Australia and overseas. He offers a comprehensive understanding of core financial activities, including tax, international accounting standards, regulatory compliance, and supply chain management. Tim's expertise extends beyond the numbers, encompassing operational and commercial acumen.
Currently, Tim serves as Chief Financial Officer at JA Engineering, an underground mining equipment company serving regional Queensland from its Rockhampton base. Tim holds a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com), along with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and a Master of Laws (LLM). He's a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, demonstrating his commitment to strong corporate governance. Tim balances his professional accountabilities with his young family and has lived and worked throughout Queensland. He's passionate about supporting True and its goals.

Donna Bonney
Chief Executive Officer
Donna brings 30 years of invaluable experience across hospitals, health services, and healthcare education and training, making her a perfect fit to lead our organisation. With a strong track record in senior executive roles across public, private and not-for-profit sectors, Donna has demonstrated exceptional leadership across people and culture, learning and development, and hospital and health services and is committed to creating positive social impact, and advocacy for equity, inclusion and equality.

Stuart Dempster
General Manager – Corporate Services
Stuart comes to True with a wealth of experience, having led financial operations, capital projects, IT transformations, and software projects in both non-government organisations and the private sector. His previous roles include serving as the Executive Director- Business Enterprise at Uniting Church Australia, and CFO at AEIOU, Edge Learning and Open Minds. An alumnus of the University of Manchester with a BA Hons Degree in Economics, Stuart is also a Chartered Accountant (ICANZ).

Lisa Harrison
Director of Nursing and Health Services
Lisa Harrison is a highly skilled and experienced Reproductive and Sexual Health Nurse Practitioner with over 28 years' experience working as a clinician in Queensland.
Commencing her professional nursing career in 1995, Lisa studied as an undergraduate at Central Queensland University and has completed further postgraduate studies at Monash University and the University of Queensland.
Lisa had a short affiliation with Charles Darwin University in their course development and teaching, and with her passion for improving health literacy and access to the adolescent population, Lisa developed and introduced the "Is It True" Program into Central Queensland Schools in 2018.
Lisa's professional nursing career has seen her as a Registered Nurse, an Advanced Sexual and Reproductive Health Nurse, Forensic Nurse Examiner and a Nurse Practitioner. Lisa was the former State-wide Nursing Officer - Clinical Governance before her appointment as the Director of Nursing & Health Services in August 2023.
With a commitment to increasing and improving reproductive and sexual health access and information, Lisa is excited to lead True's clinical and counselling services to continue to provide quality patient-centred care to all people in Queensland.
