Dr Clare Maher

Clare Maher full colourClare is a General Practitioner with over 25 years of experience as a clinician and educator. She currently works at the Inala Indigenous Health Service and at a specialist outreach Diabetes service. Clare is fortunate to have worked with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people for over 15 years and has significant experience in refugee health. Her interests include medical education, evidence based medicine and women’s health. She has been involved with the teaching of medical students and GP registrars for many years.

Since 2016 Clare has been the RACGP Qld Domestic and Family Violence Champion General Practitioner. This involves promoting the role and responsibilities of GP’s in the care of people who have experienced IPV.
