About the role

The purpose of the Bilingual Health Educator is to support the implementation of True’s National Sexual and Reproductive, ‘Health in my Language’ program and to conduct bilingual health education sessions with women and men in community settings.

 

Additionally, you will conduct Sexual and Reproductive health education sessions within the community’s preferred languages and participate in planning and evaluation of workshop modules, health promotion, and training programs.

Selection Criteria 

  • Knowledge of the following principles relating to:
    • Knowledge of women’s health issues
    • Migrant and refugee experiences. 
    • Facilitation skills; and/or
    • Community engagement experiences 
  • Demonstrated project management skills, facilitation and education and training skills.
  • Fluency in one of the following languages: Pasifika, Swahili, Spanish, and Kurdish Kurmunji.  
  • Strong written communication skills, including experience in writing reports, and stakeholder communications.  
  • Experience in consultation and collaboration with relevant government and community organisations; and the development of partnerships.
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft and online learning systems.
