True welcomes new General Managers

Recently True undertook a review of the way we engage with our stakeholders to deliver the important community education programs that underpin much of True’s core business offering. Our delivery of core business services now includes a dedicated focus on both Education and also Stakeholder Engagement by two new General Managers.

Meet True’s incoming General Manager of Education, Ronan Sweeney, who formally commenced with True this month. Hailing from Ireland, Ronan moved to Australia in 2009 and spent his career in Australia developing, facilitating and leading clinical education teams and programs. Ronan is a registered AHPRA paramedic and is passionate about the design and delivery of high quality and impactful clinical education, professional development programs and health promotion. He is a strong patient advocate, with an interest in patient safety and positive health outcomes for all. Most recently Ronan was Manager of Clinical Training and Development at the Royal Flying Doctor Service Queensland and was responsible for leading a team of nurse and medical education officers and support team members in the design, development and delivery of clinical training programs for RFDS staff and external stakeholders. Ronan is also a healthcare simulation advocate, having spent a number years as part of the Mater Education simulation faculty, while also developing and leading the clinical simulation strategy and implementation at RFDS Qld. Ronan is currently studying his Master of Education at UTS. We are thrilled to be welcoming him to the True team!

True also welcomes Dominic Taylor, GAICD, to the position of General Manager - Stakeholder Engagement. Dominic joins True’s senior leadership team after a recent restructure designed to better support our stakeholders and customers and bolster our capability for implementation of True’s 2021-2025 strategy. Bringing more than 20 years’ professional community and corporate experience to the role, backed by an extensive career in Marketing and Communications, Customer Experience and Strategic Fundraising. Most recently he helped Tabcorp’s Charitable Games team launch the not-for-profit fundraising platform ‘Play For Purpose’. Prior to this role, Dominic held numerous senior marketing and communications roles across various organisations including QSuper, yourtown and Golden Casket Lottery. As a Graduate Company Director, Dominic is an advocate and champion for youth education, children’s welfare and wellbeing and disabled people within the community. He holds the position of Chair of the Board of Directors at John Paul College and holds a community board member position with the disability care provider, FIRST Service Inc, based in Eagleby. True welcomes Dominic to the team and looks forward to working with him to promote and engage with our communities.
