Antenatal service at True

Pregnant woman in front of window

True’s expert female clinicians offer shared antenatal care with the obstetric service of the woman’s choice. Influenza and pertussis immunisations and anti-D injections are available at True as part of our antenatal service. Our clinicians work closely with GPs and local obstetric services to streamline antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care.

True recommends pre-pregnancy assessment for women planning a pregnancy to identify risk factors and optimise a woman’s health before conception. Early referral for antenatal care, as soon as pregnancy is confirmed, is recommended to optimise a woman’s health in the first trimester.

Referrals for complicated pregnancy are welcome. Our clinicians work closely with obstetric services to access appropriate specialist review as appropriate to the individual woman. True clinics are also able to assist women with options regarding unplanned pregnancy. True clinics do not offer a birthing service.

Appointments to our antenatal clinic can be made by contacting our local clinic directly. GP referrals should be accompanied by an obstetric, medical and surgical history and medications list, along with any antenatal investigations performed including most recent cervical screening, STI screening and/or ultrasound, if appropriate.

There are no long waiting times for antenatal appointments. Some clients may be eligible for bulk-billing.

Please contact us if you wish to discuss an antenatal referral with a medical or nursing officer:
