Statement for all clients of our True Clinics

True regards the wellbeing of our clients and staff as a priority. Due to the developing events of COVID-19 we wanted to reassure you that we are responding and cooperating in line with Australian Government advice.

We would like to confirm that all True Clinics are open and will continue to operate as normal unless instructed otherwise by relevant authorities. Your reproductive and sexual health needs will still be met by our experienced staff.   

Please note, True is not a general practice. We only provide services around reproductive and sexual health. 

If you have an upcoming clinic appointment, are feeling unwell and experiencing COVID-19 like symptoms below, we ask that you phone ahead and let us know on 3250 0200.
- Fever
- Cough
- Sore throat
- Fatigue
- Shortness of breath

 

Precautions

  • True has several infectious disease protocols that are currently in place in our clinics. These include:
  • Hand sanitiser is available at reception and in consult rooms.\
  • For those clients who have travelled overseas we ask that you call reception in advance of your attendance.  
  • Similarly, any client who has symptoms are encouraged to call reception before entering the clinic. 
  • If you are in the clinic waiting room and start to feel ill, please notify reception.  
  • Masks are available in reception and all clinic rooms.
  • Our staff are following strict hand hygiene guidelines.
  • Where possible, please do not bring young children to the clinic.
  • We have removed all reading materials and toys in reception. Magazines are available upon request at reception.

As clients, your assistance in complying with the protocols suggested by the Australian Government and notifying reception of any illness will assist us to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all.

True will continue to be in contact with our clients if and when the situation changes.

True regards the wellbeing of our clients and staff as a priority. Due to the developing events of COVID-19 we wanted to reassure you that we are responding and cooperating in line with Australian Government advice.

We would like to confirm that most of our True education services and courses are still open and will continue to operate as normal unless instructed otherwise by relevant authorities. Your education needs will still be met by our experienced staff.

The following service and/or courses have been postponed until April 30th:
- Looking After Me Program
- Interpreters & Translators: Reproductive and sexual health in clinical settings
- Traffic Lights®: Sexual behaviours in children and young people

 

Precautions

  • For those clients who have travelled overseas we ask that you call reception in advance of your attendance.  
  • Similarly, any client who has symptoms are encouraged to call reception before entering the office. 
  • Our courses only involve less than 25 people. We will endeavour to ensure tables and chairs are set apart further than normal.
  • Where catered, course food is prepared by licensed caterers.
  • If you wish to wear a mask through the course, please do so.
  • If you are in the waiting room and start to feel ill, please notify reception.  
  • Our staff are following strict hand hygiene guidelines.
  • We have removed all reading materials and toys in reception. Magazines are available upon request at reception.
  • If you need to cancel your attendance, please contact the course organizer. Please note that we do have a cancellation policy however during this period we will be providing refunds or providing a credit to use for a future course.

Statement for all clients of our Child & Family Service

True regards the wellbeing of our customers and staff as a priority. Due to the developing events of COVID-19 we wanted to reassure you that we are responding and cooperating in line with Australian Government advice.

With the impact of COVID-19 becoming more serious for our community, True Child & Family Service has begun to make some changes to the way we provide services to our clients. 
We acknowledge this can be unsettling for children and families, however, we want to ensure staff and clients are as safe as possible.

 

We are still operating from our office on Grafton Street, Cairns and responding to phone calls from 9 am - 5 pm Monday to Friday. 

Changes to our service provision:
From Monday 30th March 2020, we will temporarily cease face-to-face client work.
From Monday 30th March to 10th April, there will be no counselling sessions.

  • This is to allow staff time to prepare remote therapy packs for children / families
  • Each child will be sent a pack of supportive materials to work on

From Monday 13th April 2020, Clients will be supported via the telephone and/or Zoom - our online video conferencing software. 

 

These changes will be reviewed and updated as necessary and all stakeholders will be informed of any changes. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Sandi Brown (Manager) on 4031 3590.
