Ronan Sweeney

Ronan is from Dublin, Ireland and is a registered AHPRA paramedic. Ronan moved to Australia in 2009 with his family and has spent his career in Australia developing, facilitating and leading clinical education teams and programs.

Ronan is passionate about the design and delivery of high quality and impactful clinical education, professional development programs and health promotion. A strong patient advocate, with an interest in patient safety and positive health outcomes for all.

Most recently Ronan was manager of clinical training and development at the Royal Flying Doctor Service, Queensland section and was responsible for leading a team of nurse education officers, medical education officers and support team members in the design, development, and delivery of clinical training programs for RFDS staff and external stakeholders across the state. Ronan is also a healthcare simulation advocate having spent a number years as part of the Mater Education simulation faculty, while also developing and leading the clinical simulation strategy and implementation at RFDS Qld.

Ronan is also an outdoor enthusiast who enjoys triathlon training, trail running, scuba diving and jet skiing. Ronan is currently studying for a Master of Education at UTS and is thrilled to be joining True Relationships and Reproductive Health team, as General Manager - Education.
