True provides services to those people under 25 in the Ipswich and Toowoomba communities to:

  • Increase access to specialised services, especially for youth from vulnerable populations
  • Reduce the incidence of STIs
  • Assist in the reduction of unplanned pregnancy rate
  • Increase the number of accessible appointments for clients throughout the week
  • Educate more clients about birth spacing, supported antenatal care and contraception options throughout their life
  • Provide information and advice to local GPs and other health service providers on sexual health, particularly consultations and screening for young people.

With funding generously provided by the Darling Downs West Moreton Primary Health Network (DDWMPHN), True is able to provide expert, nurse-led, reproductive and sexual health clinical services to young people under 25, in Ipswich and Toowoomba. The service aims to increase screening rates for sexually transmitted infections (STI), improve access to treatment options and promote greater sexual health awareness and education in young people under 25.
