Making a start

The person with disability and their support person/people (parents, carers and/or service providers) attend a 45-minute initial meeting to share information about the their learning style and education wants/needs. The purpose of this meeting to ensure that Looking after me is a suitable fit for the person with disability e.g. that they wish to participate in education sessions, that there is an appropriate support person to attend all of the sessions, and that they have a knowledge deficit where education could be beneficial. True staff have extensive experience providing education to people with disability.

All packages must be completed within a four month time-frame from commencement. Education sessions are held for approximately 1 hour and can be scheduled on a weekly or fortnightly basis. All meetings and sessions are held in meeting rooms at True Relationships & Reproductive Health. During times of high bookings there may be delays for commencement of this service.
