Tailored services for people with a disability
True offers services for people with a disability and the people who support them. True's individualised support service is called Looking after me. It comprises expertly crafted relationships and sexuality education packages, developed to meet the needs of young people and adults with a disability.
Looking after me uses visual resources and interactive activities to help individuals to understand bodies, enjoy healthy relationships and be safe. Where appropriate, parents, carers and service providers are encouraged to attend sessions.
In addition to Looking after me, we offer group education sessions for people with a disability and a consulting service for schools and organisations. Our staff have extensive experience in the disability sector and look forward to supporting people with a genuinely tailored educational experience.
Education (not counselling) is provided during LAMP sessions. LAMP is not a crisis response service or an investigative service for sexual assault. If you reasonably suspect that a child is experiencing sexual abuse contact the Police 000 or Department of Child Safety. Further, if you are an adult experiencing sexual abuse or relationship violence, (or you support an adult with disability experiencing this) call: 1800 RESPECT or visit the 1800 RESPECT website.
