Understand sexual behaviour, what it communicates, and how to respond positively

True presents a professional development opportunity for service providers working with children and young people.

Aim

The way adults interpret sexual behaviours affects how they respond to, support and protect children and young people. This training will help participants to:

  • understand sexual development as a healthy aspect of childhood and adolescence
  • identify typical, age appropriate sexual behaviours as well as concerning, problem or abusive sexual behaviours
  • use the Traffic Lights framework to identify, review and respond to sexual behaviours

Who should attend?

  • This session is for all service providers who work with children or young people; particularly professionals with an interest in child protection or working with children with sexual behaviour.
