True welcomes Dr Stuart Aitken to the Brisbane team

True is pleased to announce that Dr Stuart Aitken will be joining its clinic team in Brisbane. Dr Aitken is a well-known authority in sexual health with an approach that blends expertise, compassion and respect. He will offer discreet, specialist consultations in sexual health, ranging from HIV medicine, sexually transmissible infections and skin conditions affecting the genitals to gender medicine.

Dr Aitken completed specialist training in 2006 and was admitted as a Fellow of the Australasian Chapter of Sexual Health Medicine, Royal Australasian College of Physicians. He is a specialist prescriber of Section 100 medications for HIV and is authorised to approve PBS eligibility for testosterone therapy.

Dr Aitken has interest and experience in endocrine therapies for people with gender dysphoria, is a member of both ANZPATH and WPATH and as held academic positions within the three medical schools in Southeast Queensland. He currently holds the title of senior lecturer at Griffith University and is currently majoring in infectious diseases epidemiology as he completes his Master of Public Health and Tropical Medicine degree.
